Turks and Caicos Islands removes COVID test requirements- May 1st 2022

The moment many have been waiting has arrived! The Turks and Caicos government announced on Monday April 25th that visitors to the country will no longer have to take a COVID test to visit the Turks and Caicos Islands The need to present a negative result COVID test has been removed from the country’s entry requirements. Not only that but the mandatory medical travel insurance requirement has also been removed and the need to apply for a travel authorization approval through the TCI Assured web portal is also no longer not needed.

The change comes into effect on May 1st 2022.

This is a big relief for many tourists. The cost of testing and insurance for a larger family or group took a bite out of the vacation budget for visitors. The completion of the travel approval on the Turks and Caicos Tourism website has also been dropped making the process of arriving in the country so much easier. The travel approval process, although, straightforward, was a cause of stress for many due to local testing availability and timelines for approval prior to flying. It’s great to know that coming to the Turks and Caicos Islands for your vacation is now so much easier.
